The Tynor Mallet Finger Splint is a very simple device that is used to maintain the distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) in the dorsiflexion position or in a functional position. Immomobilizing these phalanges is an important part of treating fractures or disfunction of a DIP joint, which is why it is important to immobilize them.
